why antarctic melting is not due to global warming

there are many top scientists who say the antarctic glaciers are melting because of shifts in under-the-surface warm seawater currents - nothing to do with global warming. not widely understood is that there are warm UNDERSEA warm currents, just as there are currents ON the surface, such as the Gulf Stream, and these currents can and do shift. Scandinavian fisherman who have taken deepsea temperature measurements for decades were the first to pick up on this shift. there is one big warm stream, for example, that is BATHING one antarctic ice shelf from underneath and sure enough, that ice shelf is crumbling. No surprise...and nothing to do with global warming.

there's more: Many top scientists, such as Dr.Richard Muller ("Physics for Future Presidents") say that if the global temperatures went up a several degrees, that there would actually be MORE ice in Antarctica, not less. The reason is that if global temperatures go up, there will almost certainly be more rain, and thus more snow in Antarctica, thus more ice. A several degree increase would not come close to causing any sort of significant melting in Antarctica, because it is so very cold - but WOULD cause a lot more snow and ice in Antarctica.
