Post about Putin supposedly threatening WW III over GMOs

I'm reading this all over the Web: "The shocking minutes relating to President Putin’s meeting this past week with US Secretary of State John Kerry reveal the Russian leaders “extreme outrage” over the Obama regimes continued protection of global seed and plant bio-genetic giants Syngenta and Monsanto in the face of a growing “bee apocalypse” that the Kremlin warns “will most certainly” lead to world war." 

I certainly agree, and feel the same way, but haven't been able to verify if this is actual news and was actually released as such by the Kremlin. Is it?

My reply:

I, also, am cautious about accepting this information as true. This whole anti-Monsanto thing has seemingly become a case of urban hysteria. The slightest shred of indication that Monsanto is bad sets the anti-Monsanto crew into a kneejerk mob reaction, it seems to me. There is often little balance in the opinions expressed; or little if any consideration of any possible benefits and safety of Monsanto products. When I see such black-and-white thinking, red flags go up all over the place. It seems very unlikely that Putin would say that continued use of GMOs would lead to WW III ... ? C'mon... No, I cannot cite a specific source, I'm relying on my 56 years on this planet seeing faddish mob reactions come and go, which has given me a good feel for what is a passing rumor. It think it is much more likely that someone is exploiting the anti-Monsanto mob for their own ends, because they are so one-tracked and thus easy to manipulate. This would be a great way to drive traffic to a website, for example, and sell merchandise. You can sell a lot of high-priced natural treatments and vitamins to the anti-Monsanto zealots by badmouthing Monsanto.

Snopes.com -- by consistently checking rumors on Snopes.com, one can gain a good feel for what is real and what is not. This Putin-Monsanto thing feels pretty unreal, but Snopes has yet to address it.
