It appears to me that the phrase "The Nonsense of Free Will" is logically unsupportable.

Why do I think that?

Astrophysics shows us that there is a definite start to the cascading avalanche of physicality that is in our universe. It's called the Big Bang.

That is the start of the realm of physics -- of physical creation.

So, what started that physical realm? What started the Big Bang?

Whatever caused this beginning of physicality, cannot, itself, be physical. To posit a physical cause for physical creation doesn't answer the question about the cause of physicality.

So, what was outside of physicality - what meta-vector, what metaphysical thing -- started the physicality avalanche rolling?

Some sort of non-physical-based consciousness -- such as willpower -- is a possibility.

Notice that I am not saying willpower necessarily created the physical Big Bang. I am merely saying that it is a possibility that cannot be ruled out.

The certainty implied in the phrase "The Nonsense of Free Will" is logically unsupportable, IMHO.

Further, if free will is allowed logically as a possible cause of physical creation, the door opens also to free will also being a "participant" in the process of ongoing physical creation.

The possibility cannot be ruled out that each of is driven by a mixture of predetermined physical antecedents, as well as will-created self-generated initiatives.
