"Because I'm a Great Man."

I read that Winston Churchill's prodigious writing output was greatly abetted by secretaries who would take Churchill's verbal dictations in shorthand, then type out what he had said.

He would work the secretaries hard, sometimes bringing one to tears.

One of the secretaries protested, asking him how he could justify being so harsh.

Supposedly, Winston's reply was, "Because I'm a great man."

Certainly, this picture of Winston as a boy is "in line" with one who would make such a statement. I think the picture is a hoot.
